It has certainly been a long time since anybody has updated this blog, has it not?
Well, just to say, I am back home and I am loving it quite nicely. There are a lot of job opportunities to do a summer job and I hope to snag one of those opportunities. It would have been nice though if I did not go with what my advisor said and went to Orlando, working at Walt Disney World. I am still quite miffed about that decision and I feel that I will burn the place down in due time (since I was forced into the decision). I have taken a whole load of pictures documenting my trip back home and they came out rather nicely on a Palm Zire 71. I want to upgrade to a Zire 72 if it means that the auto focus will be faster and the pictures will be clearer.
What is left is that I need to set up my home network system (going with the old school physical method), update my computer, and hope to DO something in the day for the summer.

Aw snap, it's official...
As of Wednesday, the Manga and Anime club is official! Many thanks to our president for coming up with the idea and having it faithfully executed, our representative for getting up on the docket to speak, our vice-president for being the first person to hear us become official, and myself for being Asian. Two weeks gone great so far! Let's keep the good times rollin' over here!
I finally found out yesterday where this one bus route goes. Every time I go up to the mall in Aventura, Florida, the bus route that would usually take me there (known as the number 9 route) hardly ever shows up when I want to go back. In spite of this, a billion buses that go by the S route arrive at the bus stop where I wait for my ride back to school! I finally said "bollocks" and decided to board the S to see where it went. Honestly, it was a beautiful sight and I got some nice pictures of my travel. Kind of odd when you take a route you never know about only to find out that it is a beautiful sight to see.
I also picked up a rather hilarious DVD but I am sure there are PG-13 customers that are reading the thoughts of this fine, upstanding Asian-American. All I can say is that there is an actual Spanish sound track to the movie.

How many things must happen to one to make it such a great week? Let us break it down, shall we?
- On Room Selection Thursday night for Pairs and Single-for-Doubles, a pair had a combined number of 10. Either they wanted to create massive dischord amongst the students for having such low numbers to begin with, or they REALLY wanted to get a good room as a pair.
- The up-and-coming MAC President and I got the last room of this one dorm floor. What is sweeter is that all of the MAC E-board members are close-knit so that when the MAC is good to go, there will be a great organization of events and whatnot.
- I went to the mall on Friday and I thorughly (sp?) enjoyed my time there (though I did not see Hellboy just to offset my viewing of The Passion movie). I got really hungry, ate there at the food court, and later proceeded to eat my way through one and a half sandwiches of the king of sandwiches; the Philly Steak.
- There's an Ah My Goddess TV series coming out!! (in a Forrest Gump voice) That's all I have to say about that.
- Armored Trooper Votoms is being shown in it's somewhat entirety in the Spring and for the first parts of the Summer. I know a certain person that might be interested in this bit of news. The episodes can be shown on http://www.sputnik7.com on these dates:
Epsiode 1 on April 7 - April 20
Episodes 1 and 2 on April 21 - May 4
Episodes 2 and 3 on May 5 - May 18
Episodes 3 and 4 on May 19 - June 1
Episodes 4 and 5 on June 2 - June 15
Episodes 5 and 6 on June 16 - June 29
- Only a couple of more days until Easter Break and this "date" with this one cute Latina girl. We are best friends since our Freshman days and she is insisting on taking me out to eat, watch a movie, and play some games (though not necessarily in that order). How can I not turn it down? We are just friends though and I am staying at that level but I will enjoy the time (assuming this "date" is still on schedule).
- Crandon Park in Key Biscayne next Friday. I REALLY want to go back there for an entire day and sun myself. Absolute beautiful park that place is. Plus, the beaches there are tons better than the beaches at South Beach.
That is just about it. If I get enough comments, I might start a blog of my own and continue these thoughts of mine.

I KNEW I forgot something on Monday night. I missed the MAC's first meeting. I thought it was a meeting meeting and I refused to go because we are not an official club yet but it turned out to be an executive board meeting. Hell of a secretary I make...lol.
I got my April bus pass today and I am rather happy. I'll have an opportunity to use it this Friday since my 11 AM class got cancelled. Turns out that this one professor who taught Calculus and higher math classes here at Barry died recently (I think as recent as TODAY. Very creepy.) of a terminal cancer. I wanted to start my math minor with the professor because that professor was the hardest for math classes and I literally cakewalked all the math classes I took so far. It really irks me. It sucks; I wanted a REAL challenge but I will not have that time...
Ah well, I should rest easily this weekend. The following weeks are going to heat up right quick.

Great weekend, had a great time...
I went with the president of the supposed MAC to the mall on Friday (why I write about this now and not Friday I do not know) and it was interesting. Waldenbooks is like a haven for the president, and that was pretty cool. If there is anything I appreciate, I appreciate a dude with a hunger for books; I swear we were there for a good two hours. I could have gone and got some of the things that I wanted (i.e. the new CD by Jin The Rest is History which was not there) then came back and still find him searching the vast multitudes of books. I do not know why I just stood there though...
I managed to pick up a lot of manga along with a rather interesting series I just found out about on Friday. It's a manga called Battle Vixens from Tokyopop and it has a rather fanservicy cover. I happen to enjoy fanservice and I have this knack of picking up rather interesting series that feature fanservice but have a gripping storyline; I cite Mahoromatic as an example of fanservice with substance. I could be right, I could be wrong but I have yet to read it. Schoolwork is going to seriously slow me down but I will get through it.

So it did not really happen...
Well, it looks like we have a by-week to see if the MAC becomes an official club here. I got dressed for it too...oh well.
Room Lottery was today and it is a very uneasy time. Basically, one goes up to Residential Life on a campus and pick a number. Depending on that number, one either gets first pick for dorms or one has to wait for the scraps. To go as a Single is to take a huge risk and hearing stories from some people, it is best to go as a Pair with somebody one already knows or go as a Quad (4 person group). I hate Room Lottery, but at least the box was in a way that I could see all the numbers (grin). Just do not take long to get your number or else the people get suspicious (grins again).

So many things coming out at once...
I am very amazed at how many different items are coming out. It's like putting in the motion for a Shoryuken and you get a Hadouken instead.
First, the first set of Transformers Alternators figures are already out. I am very amped for this after seeing the RX-8 Flash at Mazda and I wanted to get the figures. Second, most manga and anime series that I am pursuing are starting to come out like Kino's Journeys and Happy Lesson and the Trigun Maximum series in the summer. Third and fourth, the other half of me is itching for this one H-game series that has JUST came out with a two-for-one series and a couple of H-DVDs that if I were to get now, I would have to do so while I am in college so I can get them shipped to my home when I am there. It is insane.
I really do hope that I get a summer job at or around the Naval base that's close to my house. I believe that it is the only way I can utilize the skills I have learned so far. Otherwise, I would have to be a gas station attendant (shiver), seating person at the nearby Japanese restaurant, or pin monkey at either the bowling alley nearby my house or hopefully at the bowling alley on base. If I hope for the best, I'll see, my world will be solid.

Looking ahead to the joy/pain...
Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at 4 PM in the Library basment room 104. That is the date, time, and place that will determine whether we or not we shout with joy or wither away with crushing sorrow. No matter the outcome we will be lamenting or celebratting that night. I want all of us to go to either Tokyo Bowl or a Chinese buffet.

Wow. First time as a co-writer on the board. How cool can this be? Very? Awesome-like? I enjoy this a whole lot and you should too.
I gave blood today and it was a trip. Needles scare the heck out of me, but ham sandwiches, Powerade, and a whole boatload of snacks, free stuff, and a t-shirt made it all worthwhile. I think I am O-negative and if so, I'll be sure to donate. The after-affects of giving blood are fun.
I cannot wait to start my official duties as secretary of the Manga and Anime Club (MAC). If the meeting on Wednesday goes well and we do get accepted, oh the possibilities there will be. Strangely, I AM considering a sub-division of the MAC known as the Manga and Anime Club After Midnight (after that one song "After Midnight" that I love a lot). It would be either that or MAC: After Hours. I do not know which one is better but that will be awesome. I only see one problem with it; too many DVDs and VHSs to count (@_@)

Drip, drip, drip, goes the water...
The waiting is killing me. slowly like Chinese water torture. I wish they'd just tell us if we can be official or not. Then again may be not it, that would be a little anti-climactic. It's so much more fun to build it up, then destroy it utterly. Kinda like stacking a house of cards, then having Florida's first earthquake grace you with its presence.
